In the name of heaven, please tell me where I can find a Creamsicle in this town. (Best bought for 10 cents from an air conditioned drug store during a heat wave in Montreal in 1965, to be followed later in the day by a Cott’s Black Cherry Soda… “It’s Cott to be Good”.) The cake is clearly named for the delicious trademarked ice cream treat.
1965? You’re dating yourself.
Of course both the cake and the alcohol are influenced by the ice cream.
I haven’t had a creamsicle in years but I love them dearly. The summer I turned 13 I made creamsicle floats everyday. I was super skinny and we had these super large glasses with CB terms all over them (yeah, it was the late 70′s!); I’d fill my glass with as many scoops of vanilla ice cream as I could and then top it up with orange crush. Good times. I haven’t thought of that in years – thanks for the reminder!
