Whole Life Expo 2009

November 29th, 2009

The Whole Life Expo, “Canada’s Largest Showcase of Natural Health and Green Living”, now in its 23rd year, is this weekend. Today is the last day! Yes, I should have blogged this on Friday and gave you information such as,

  • $8 gets you into the Exhibit Hall where there’s a lot to do and see.
  • $15 gets you into the Exhibit Hall and also into lectures.
  • Your admission is good for the entire weekend.
  • Speakers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • The exhibitors.

I went yesterday. Crowded, but enjoyable. Glad I was in somewhat of a rush and unable to get sucked into some of the booths. Bought a few things that I needed. Vega EFA Oil Blend, which I’m almost out of, was on sale. I checked out the Vita-Mixes again. (The $575 price tag kept me away again. I want one!)

I don’t believe in everything there – some of it is too out there for me – but feel that there’s something for everyone and that going with an open mind, a positive attitude and curiosity is key.

It’s open until 6 in the north building at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Try the grilled vegetable wraps in the food aisle and check out the Himalayan sea salt lamps at Eco-Ideas. There are also a number of booths offering treatments from shiatsu to reiki.

If you’re in Toronto and looking for plans today, check it out. It’s only $8. I recommend taking the subway or bicycle to get there though. Parking is expensive. Of course, if you live in Toronto you probably know that already.

Get a Vita Mix! I can’t stress how amazing they really are. Two tips. Buy one off my website and get free shipping and two, check for ‘factory reconditioned’ They have the same warranty and are anywhere from $100 to $200 less.

You’re right. I should go through your website and give you the commission. I like to do that for people I like – when I remember to. After I pay down some credit card debt.
