Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness Radio is hosting this free online event November 9-23.

Dr. Jillian Sarno Teta, one of the Digestion Sessions presenters, created some infographics as part of a “12 days of Digestive Health” series, giving permission for reuse.

Day 7: Kiwi

Kiwis are one of my very favorite fruits. I am often found eating one whole, skin and all. We actually can grow them here in NC, which makes me love them all the more.

With their gentle astringent/sour taste, they help rev up the body’s production of digestive enzymes, indirectly helping you break down your food so it can be best absorbed.

Kiwis are low-FODMAP, which means they are a good fruit for those of you who may be dealing with SIBO, Dysbiosis, IBS and so forth.

As you know, I’m gifting all of you guys who register for the free and awesome Digestion Sessions through my page will be getting a recipe booklet with my own recipes featuring the 12 digestive superheroes.

I’ll be getting a little boozy with this one, offering you guys my Kiwi Sangria (as featured in many a girly get together).

Boozy? I’m down with that.

I once got my food trivia team points for knowing that the kiwi was originally known as the “Chinese Gooseberry”. We were the grand champions the one and only year we competed monthly.

P.S. As of November 1, I’m participating in A. Vogel’s Molkosan® Berry  “21 days to a happier tummy” blogger program. The timing works pretty well. Day 1 was delicious. I made a smoothie – but not before dropping one of the two bottles on the floor, smashing it.
