Forget the green beer, drink some whiskey

BlogTO put out their St. Patrick’s Day guide today (and, as BlogTO is a troll magnet, the dregs of humanity weighed in). There were some good ones on the list. Although I avoid bars on St. Patty’s Day (‘celebrated’ in these parts as an excuse to get drunk and act like an ass – though I do enjoy the togetherness of it) I’ve heard lots of positive things about the Ceili Cottage celebrations over the years. Allen’s and Dora Keogh are always worth visits. I’ve enjoyed evenings at some of the other bars listed.

However, clearly the BlogTO folks didn’t know that Two Bite Saloon is doing an Irish Brunch and Whiskey Tasting on Sunday, the day before St. Patrick’s Day.

‘Cause they’re my neighbours and their success means a lot to me, and because I like to share good stuff, here’s the info:

Menu:

  • Green devilled Eggs with Crispy Oysters
  • House Corned beef and cabbage hash, fried eggs and buttermilk biscuits with hollandaise or smoked salmon and poached eggs, boxy potato cakes and dill creme fresh
  • Apple oatmeal crumble with Kilbeggan chantilly creme
