Expanded from my Tumblr blog: Back to running & post-run smoothie

Sometimes I still use it.

Clicking on that image will take you to my Tumblr blog, which was initially set up when I changed hosting and domain registrars for this blog and it needed a temporary home. Here’s the product link.

I tweeted a shorter version of this first.

I wrote about my love of Progressive about a year ago. I really should write about them more often.

Regarding running, I enjoy my running route because it’s in nature and the beauty of the nature is added to by the beauty of graffiti art under one of the bridges. “Push it to the limit” is or was written on one of the bridges. I didn’t notice it today but I was looking at a different bridge.

What does remain on a concrete block that has been painted over is “Egos aside, just have fun”. It’s written in all caps. “Fun” is underlined twice. “Egos aside” has quotes around it.

The drawings and writings are motivating. I didn’t know if I could start back up where I left off on the Run 10k program in September but I tried, at “week 8 day 3”. 5 minute run: 1minute walk, 9 times. I did it. One of the reasons I stopped last fall is that some of the runs are 70 minutes and I was running in the morning. I’m between jobs right now (I’m on week 2 of being a “free agent”) so I have no excuse.

I want to write the graffiti artists a love letter, or at least find a way to thank them.

Maybe I’ll post an anonymous note.
